The Roughneck Vintage Hatchet handles are made from 100% genuine American Hickory, FSC® 100%. The hickory has been smoke treated for moisture resistance and is fixed to the head with a steel and wood wedge for a very secure and safe fixing. The heads are made from high-quality alloy steel that has been heat-treated and tempered for longevity. Fully polished with a clear lacquer finish for anti-rust protection and a sharp edge for easy cutting.

The Faithfull Countryman Border Fork is the perfect choice when space is tight, typically between established plants in a garden border or vegetable patch. The small heads of these tools make them ideal for working in flower beds and for planting smaller shrubs or for someone who finds larger tools difficult to use because of the weight.

The head is manufactured from heat-treated (hardened) carbon steel to provide both strength and durability. Powder-coated finish provides improved resistance to rust, scratches, humidity and alkaloids in the soil.

Fitted with a double riveted, European Ash handle supplied from FSC® sustainable resources. These are then lacquered for protection against the weather and fitted with an ergonomic soft grip.

The angled hilts have been designed so that the hand remains in a natural position. This helps to reduce strain on the hand and wrist, and sets the blade at the ideal digging angle to reduce back strain.

The Irwin auger wood drill bit has been designed for all general wood boring and offers a superior performance. The single spur cutting edge scribes the circumference of the hole for a smoother quality finish. The hexagon shank prevents slipping in a drill chuck or bit extension.

The solid centre provides extra rigidity whilst boring, the self-feeding screw point provides faster boring in both soft and hard woods and the fully hardened body from tip to shank provides extra durability.
